Waverley NovoActive Classic 2026 – A Fantastic Weekend on Home Ground

Level 2

Our Level 2 gymnasts enjoyed another fantastic competition finishing off their competition season showing some big improvements across the board. The girls absolutely loved spending time with Breanna and getting some individual time with her and her gold medal!!! It was a special way to end the competition season for the girls, we are very proud of them in their first competition season.

Level 3

Our Level 3 gymnasts had plenty to celebrate, with both teams producing confident performances and showing fantastic improvements across the competition floor. Floor was a particular highlight, with beautiful routines and growing confidence across the group. Waverley Blue finished 1st Overall after taking out Beam and Floor, while Waverley Red finished 2nd Overall and also claimed 1st on Beam.

Level 4

It was a bright and early 7am start for our Level 4 gymnasts, who looked right at home competing in familiar surroundings. Both teams produced confident performances and showed plenty of progress across their routines, with Waverley Red finishing 1st Overall and Waverley Blue taking 3rd Overall. It was another fantastic opportunity for the group to put their hard work into action and continue building momentum through the competition season.

Level 5

Competing for the third weekend in a row, our Level 5 gymnasts continued to go from strength to strength. Improvements were particularly evident on bars through their swing, cast height and overall routine quality, alongside powerful Vaults and beautiful artistry on beam and floor. Both Waverley Red and Waverley Blue finished 1st in their respective team competitions, rounding out another fantastic event for the group.

Level 7

Our Level 7 gymnasts continued to challenge themselves and build valuable competition experience, with plenty of progress and new skills on display. Across the group, we saw beautiful artistry and improved leap height on floor, strong and powerful vaults, growing confidence on bars and some fantastic performances on beam. It was a positive competition for the Level 7s, with plenty to celebrate as they continue to develop their routines, composure and confidence on the competition floor.

Level 8

The Waverley Classic marked the first Level 8 competition for the group, bringing the exciting challenge of stepping onto the floor with new skills and new routines. The girls handled the step up with fantastic confidence and composure, with strong performances across all four apparatus and plenty of progress from training translating onto the competition floor. The team also finished 1st Overall, making for an exciting start to their Level 8 competition journey.

Level 9 Division 2

Our Level 9 Division 2 gymnast produced a strong competition on home ground, with improved routines particularly evident on beam and floor. The competition was highlighted by a 1st-place finish on Beam and 2nd on Floor, contributing to a fantastic 3rd-place All Around result.

Level 9 Division 1

Our Level 9 gymnasts delivered a strong competition across all four apparatus, with some fantastic routines and a number of podium results throughout the event. Their performances combined for an impressive 2nd-place Team All Around result, rounding out a successful competition for the group on home ground.

Level 10 Division 2

Our Level 10 Division 2 gymnasts stepped up to compete at the highest level of the Australian Levels Program and delivered a fantastic set of performances. Strong routines across beam and floor were accompanied by some outstanding results, including a Waverley one-two finish in the All Around and multiple apparatus titles.

Level 10 Division 1

Our Level 10 gymnasts rounded out WGC's performances with an outstanding competition and podium finishes across all four apparatus. The group also secured an impressive one-two finish in the All Around, providing a fantastic conclusion to a successful weekend of competition for our Waverley athletes.

A Huge Team Effort

We are incredibly proud of every WGC gymnast who competed across the weekend and the way they represented Waverley on their home competition floor. From new skills and personal progress to confident performances and outstanding results, there was so much to celebrate across every level.

A huge thank you to all of our coaches for their work preparing and supporting our gymnasts. We would also like to recognise our committee and volunteers, whose hard work and support helped make the weekend such a success. A very special thank you must also go to Bec Johnson for the enormous amount of work involved in organising and coordinating the Waverley NovoActive Classic and bringing three fantastic days of competition together.
