Waverley Gymnasts Shine at the 2026 Eclipse Invitational

LEVEL 3

Our Level 3 gymnasts were up bright and early for their competition, approaching the morning with plenty of smiles and determination.

On bars, the girls showcased their progress with lovely swings and shapes, strong undershoots and glide swings, as well as some fantastic stuck landings. There was plenty to celebrate across the other apparatus too, with strong chest-up positions on vault, beautiful artistry and presentation on floor, and stable, confident routines on beam.

It was wonderful to see their hard work, confidence and determination shining through across all four apparatus, with both Waverley teams achieving some fantastic results. Waverley Blue finished 2nd All-Around, while Waverley Red secured 1st place on both beam and floor on their way to 3rd All-Around.

LEVEL 4

Our Level 4 gymnasts began their competition strongly on beam, showing plenty of confidence and beautiful artistry throughout their routines. It was particularly pleasing to see the progress in their handstands, with significant improvements in reaching vertical.

Vault provided a valuable learning experience, with the competition set-up differing from what the girls had been practising in training. Adapting to different equipment and conditions is an important part of competition experience, giving the girls another opportunity to learn and build their confidence for future events.

Overall, the girls performed and handled the competition extremely well, with Waverley Red securing 1st place on both bars and beam on their way to 2nd All-Around.

Level 4 Results:

LEVEL 7 & LEVEL 8

Our Level 7 and Level 8 gymnasts were also up bright and early, getting their competition off to a fantastic start on bars. The girls showed improvements throughout their routines, including strong handstands and clear hips, alongside growing confidence in their work.

They carried that momentum through to beam, producing controlled routines and some fantastic stuck acro skills. On floor, their hard work in training was evident through improved height and split positions in their leaps and jumps, along with confident performances across the group.

The girls then finished strongly on vault, demonstrating fantastic pop, height and flight off the table to round out a great competition.

LEVEL 9 & LEVEL 10 DIVISION 2

Our Level 9 and Level 10 Division 2 gymnasts rounded out another strong competition, with some exciting upgrades and continued progress on display.
Maisie successfully introduced an upgrade to her floor routine, performing a front layout to front salto, while Hayley delivered a fantastic back 1½ twist. Greta continued to build on her recent performances, showing further improvement across both bars and beam.

There were also some excellent results across the two levels, with Greta and Hayley both finishing 2nd All-Around in their respective divisions and Maisie taking 1st place on floor.

Congratulations to all of our gymnasts on a fantastic weekend at the Eclipse Invitational. Across every level, it was wonderful to see the girls confidently showcasing their hard work, embracing new challenges and continuing to build on their progress in competition.
