As part of Waverley Gymnastics' ongoing commitment to Child Wellbeing, we continue to look for ways to create a place where children feel included, empowered and valued.
WGC recognises that when a young person may be in need, one of the first places they will turn to is their friends. Our WGC Child Safe Champions are trained to assist their fellow gymnasts by acting as a bridge between their peers and WGC well being employees, who will offer further support and assistance.
Our WGC Child Safe Champions also play a vital role in the decision making of child wellbeing operations and initiatives within the Club, offering their valuable insights and feedback on behalf of their gymnast cohort.
We are pleased to announce our 2022 Waverley Gymnastics Centre Child Safe Champions:

What does child safety mean to you?
Child safety means that everyone has the right to feel safe and valued at all times.
What are you most looking forward to being a child safe champion?
Making sure everyone around me has a chance to share their voice and opinion about feeling safe and if anyone doesn’t feel safe or respected then I’ll try to help them.
