Metropolitan South Regional Championships 2024!
Congratulations to all of our gymnasts and coaches who competed at the Regional Championships over the weekend! We saw some incredible routines and results from all of our Level 3-7 Squad Gymnasts.
Level 5
Coach Stacey- "Wow! What a start to the Regional Championships the level 5s made! The girls put in a great effort across all apparatuses and gave their best performances of the year! Yesterday’s competition was by far one of their most successful competitions in terms of their confidence and performance outcomes, with the girls focusing on performing under pressure. It was fantastic to see their confidence grow on each apparatus and they were able to hit all of their routines!"
Level 4
Coach Stacey- "Well done to the level 4s on a fantastic competition this afternoon at the Regional Championship. Although the girls seemed nervous today they were able to control them to produce magnificent routines. The girls showed incredible improvements across all apparatus and showed that they were able to put their thinking and concentration to the test with great control throughout their routines! Congratulations to the Red Team for becoming Regional Champions "
Level 3
Coach Lisa- "Congratulations to the level 3’s today on a great competition. They all looked beautiful on beam and floor and did some of their best routines of the year. Vault was a big improvement on their last comp. They also completed clean bar routines which was great to see. They were able to show focus and concentration throughout their competition today."
Level 6 Div 1
Coach Phil: "Beam: One of the best routines I’ve seen Chloe do recently. Her back handspring, 1/1 turn, and handstand were all nailed and soon followed up by a hit floor routine. An incredible stuck Vault for Chloe and an amazing job on bars competing her first flyaway and nailing her routine! A great 4/4 hit routine day resulting in a bronze medal on Vault!"
Level 7 Div 1
Coach Phil: "Floor: 5 from 5 hit routines! Special mention to Celine for nailing her double wolf turn.
Vault: All handsprings were either a stick landing or small hop / step. Special mention to Olivia G’s height off the table.
Bars: Again another set of hit routines from the whole squad. Special mention to Farida on some great handstands. Plus props to Olivia for competing her first layout.
Beam: 4 out of our 5 routines were hit leaving us all nervous to see who takes out the team gold. Highlight from Celine who smashed every aspect of her beam routine!"
Level 6 and 7 Div 2
Coach Stacey: "Well done to the level 6 and 7 division 2 girls that finish off a busy weekend of Regional Championships! The girls have shown significant improvement since the beginning of competition season with a noticeable difference in their ability to perform under pressure on all apparatus! Congratulations on a successful competition!"
