Metro South Regional Championship Results!

This past weekend our WGC gymnasts competed at the Metro South Regional Championships, showing incredible teamwork, resilience, and skill across multiple divisions. From strong vaults and bars to beautiful artistry on floor and beam, our athletes delivered outstanding performances and made us proud.

We’ll be watching closely to see who qualifies for the upcoming Victorian Championships, but for now, here’s a recap of the weekend followed by a full list of results.

Level 7 Division 2

Our Level 7 Division 2 gymnasts kicked off the regional championships for WGC with some powerful routines!

These athletes have overcome a tough season of illness and injury, but for the first time they came together as a full team! Starting strong on floor with powerful tumbling and artistry, they carried their confidence across all apparatus. Vault showed great improvements, bars were clean, and beam finished on a high with three out of three hit routines, their best beam performance of the season!

A fantastic effort and a great start to the weekend.

Level 7 Division 1

Our Level 7 Division 1 gymnasts shone with confidence and quality across all apparatus. The team impressed with strong vaults, seven out of seven clean bar routines, and artistic beam and floor performances. Their improvements in confidence and execution were clear to see!

Level 5

Our Level 5 girls lit up the competition floor, delivering stunning routines and showing great confidence all around. The hard work and dedication they’ve put in shone through, with multiple apparatus and all-around champions. Most excitingly, the team was crowned Division 1 Team Champions!

They opened strong on vault, carried momentum to bars with great swing shaping, pushed through beam with determination, and finished with beautiful artistry and tumbling on floor. Their growth and progress this season has been inspiring, and we can’t wait to see them shine again at the upcoming championships.

Level 4

Our Level 4 gymnasts entered the competition a little nervous, but quickly settled in and performed beautifully across every apparatus.

On vault, they impressed with explosive power and strong shapes. Bars showed excellent cast heights and big swings. Beam tested their focus, but every gymnast stayed on, with stunning handstands as a highlight. Floor was where they truly shone: expressive choreography, sass, and personality made their routines exciting and entertaining for the crowd.

Level 3

Our Level 3s had a fabulous Regional Championships and handled the pressure brilliantly!

They started on vault, showcasing powerful runs, strong shapes, and great blocks. On bars, there were excellent casts above horizontal and beautiful tension in their swings. Beam proved to be the absolute highlight with not a single fall, strong and clean skills and expressive choreography throughout. Finally, they lit up the floor with smiles, stunning execution, and artistry that wowed the crowd.
