Big Weekend of Results from the Eclipse Invitational and GFA for our Squad Gymnasts!
It was a big weekend for WGC with athletes representing the club at the Eclipse Invitational as well as our Foundation 2 team experiencing their first GFA competition-style event.
Eclipse Invitational
The Eclipse Invite was the final invitational of the season for our Level 5, 7, and 9 athletes. Our gymnasts showed off their determination and hard work from the season with lots of strong performances across the board!
Confidence and improvement were the highlights for our Level 7 Division 1 athletes. They kicked off on beam with beautifully performed routines despite some small errors. Their artistry shone on floor, before closing the competition with clean vault and bars work. Despite a season challenged by injury and illness, this group continues to impress with their positivity and sportsmanship, cheering on fellow competitors throughout the day!
Our Level 5s closed out a long day of competition with style. Highlights included beautiful leaps and handstand holds on beam, powerful tumbling on floor, consistent vaults, and clean bar routines that earned praise from the judges.
Finally, our Level 9s wrapped up their invitational season with putting together stong routines across all four apparatus. Vault was more confident than ever, beam was a highlight with sharp execution, and they finished on floor with very powerful tumbling.

Gym For All Competition- Waverley Gymnastics Centre
Foundation 2 attended GFA at home over the weekend! Starting strong on Vault, all the girls achieved their full-handstand in their handstand flat backs! Another highlight for the gymnasts was on Floor where they finished their competition strong, with everyone achieving their backwards roll with straight arms!
Coach Kayla stated she "Couldn’t be prouder of their hard work and effort, it was so much fun and a little more fun that their team came first in their division
