2026 Border Challenge Results!
Waverley Gymnastics Centre is proud to congratulate Gabriella DaCosta and Ruby DeSensi on representing Victoria at the Border Challenge 2026. Both gymnasts demonstrated great determination, resilience, and sportsmanship throughout the competition, gaining valuable experience on the representative stage.
Gabriella DaCosta
Gabby enjoyed a strong all-around competition and played an important role in helping Victoria secure 3rd Place in the Team Competition.
Results:
- Team – 3rd Place
- Day 2 All Around – 16th Place
- Vault – 23rd Place
- Bars – 27th Place
- Beam – 6th Place
- Floor – 12th Place
Gabby's standout performance came on beam, where she delivered a confident routine to finish an impressive 6th place.
Ruby DeSensi
Ruby was part of the Victorian team that finished 9th overall and showed incredible perseverance throughout the competition.
Results:
- Team – 9th Place
- All Around – 50th Place
- Vault – 45th Place
- Bars – 50th Place
- Beam – 31st Place
- Floor – 29th Place
One of Ruby's highlights came after an unfortunate fall on bars. She showed tremendous resilience by regrouping and going on to perform her best beam routine to date, finishing the competition strongly for Victoria.
A Fantastic Experience
Beyond the results, both gymnasts embraced the opportunity to compete, learn, and represent their state with pride. Competitions like Border Challenge provide invaluable experience and help athletes continue to develop both as gymnasts and as individuals.
