Outstanding Results for WGC at the 2026 Australian Gymnastics Championships
Waverley Gymnastics Centre athletes enjoyed an outstanding week at the 2026 Australian Gymnastics Championships, proudly representing Victoria across Senior International, Developing International, Future International, Level 10, Level 9 and Level 8. The Waverley contingent was very strong in 2026 with 21 athletes representing the club at the Australian Championships!
Throughout the championships, our athletes demonstrated exceptional determination, resilience and sportsmanship, contributing to multiple Victorian team medals while achieving Australian Championship titles, podium finishes and many outstanding individual performances.

Senior International
Congratulations to our Senior International athletes, who helped Victoria claim the Australian Champion Team title. Breanna delivered an exceptional championships, claiming four Australian titles and retaining her 2025 Australian Champion Title, while the entire team produced strong performances across the competition.

Future International
Our Future International athletes delivered another fantastic event, with Victoria crowned Australian Champion Team. Across both age divisions, the girls showcased excellent consistency and composure, earning multiple all around and apparatus medals.

Our Level 10 athletes represented WGC with determination throughout the championships, contributing to Victoria's Champion Team performance while delivering strong individual results.

- Michaela – 22nd All Around, 4th Vault, 26th Bars, 18th Beam, 37th Floor

Level 9
Our Level 9 Over athletes once again represented WGC with pride, highlighted by Anna's outstanding Australian All Around Silver Medal performance.

- Amanda – 19th All Around, 19th Vault, 18th Bars, 12th Beam, 13th Floor
Team Result: Victorian Team Bronze
Level 8
Our Level 8 Over athletes finished the championships strongly, helping Victoria secure Team Silver. Morgan claimed an individual silver medal on Floor, while Celine delivered consistent performances across all apparatus.

Mixed Team Competition
To conclude the championships, Audrey, Miella and Alice represented Victoria in the inaugural Mixed Team Competition, with Romi participating as a non-competing team member. Victoria finished the competition with the Bronze Medal, providing a fantastic finish to an outstanding week.
