Four Waverley gymnasts are heading to Stuttgart, Germany in March after being selected to the Australian Team for the EnBW DTB Pokal Cup.

The announcement comes after a successful selection trial which saw five of our international gymnasts compete for the first time in 2022.

Emily Whitehead and Romi Brown, who placed first and second all-round in the senior division, were selected as members of the Senior International Australian team. Charlotte Shin and Miella Brown, who placed second and fourth all-round in the junior division, were selected as members of the Junior International Australian team.

Sumer Daly also competed at the trials for the second time as a Senior International Gymnast, placing sixth all-around and narrowly missing out on Australian team selection.

For Senior International gymnasts, Whitehead and (Romi) Brown, the EnBW DTB Pokal Cup provides an opportunity for competitive international experience in the lead up to the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham later this year.

The quartet will be joined in Germany by  John Hart and Jessica Mason who were both selected as coaches for the International Australian team.
