Waverley Gymnastics Centre (WGC) is committed to the care and wellbeing of our gymnasts, staff, and families.

Our codes of conduct, policies, and wellbeing strategies are continually being reviewed to ensure they are of the highest possible standard.

Please note, as part of the WGC duty of care to all athletes, all previously mentioned GA and WGC policies and procedures apply to all WGC athletes regardless of age

WGC employs a Child Wellbeing Manager as well as having a volunteer committee Child Protection and Wellbeing Officer to support our members in this essential area.

The sport of gymnastics is entering a new era and we are 100% behind ensuring that child wellbeing is at the centre of everything we do.

WGC has adopted and implemented the Gymnastics Australia National Integrity Framework, Child Safeguarding Policy and Member Protection Policy , to ensure the highest standards are achieved in respect to the protection and safety of all participants.

All WGC employees and committee members are required to adhere to the Gymnastics Australia Child Safe Practices Booklet. This document is used as a training and education resource for all WGC coaches. If at any time an individual feels these codes of behaviour have not been upheld, please contact us.

In addition to this, WGC has a number of additional supporting policies and documents that have been created specifically to further support our members. In any circumstance relating to these additional policies, these policies will supersede the aforementioned documents.

Below are additional policies and initiatives specific to the WGC Competitive Gymnastics program.
