Larrissa Miller - dual Commonwealth Games medalist!

A massive CONGRATULATIONS to Waverley's very own Larrissa Miller on becoming a dual Commonwealth Games silver medallist!

On day 1 of the team competition Larrissa hit a very clean bar routine, scoring 14.433 towards the team total, and giving her the second highest qualification score for the bars final. On day 2, Larrissa performed her elegant floor routine, with her gorgeous double Arabian to stag jump being one of the highlights of the day! The Aussie girls (Larrissa, Georgia-Rose Brown, Lauren Mitchell, Mary-Anne Monckton and Olivia Vivian) combined to take out the SILVER medal for the team competition!

After this it was on to the apparatus finals.... Larrissa backed up from qualifying to perform a near perfect bar routine, improving on her day 1 routine to score 14.566 and take out the SILVER medal, behind European Champion Rebecca Downie, and ahead of English bars specialist Ruby Harrold!! Everyone was WOWED by her clean lines, sky-high releases, and perfectly stuck full in dismount!

From everyone at Waverley Gymnastics Centre - CONGRATULATIONS to Larrissa and her coaches John Hart, Shaoyi Jiang, and the entire Waverley coaching and support team, and to all the Australian gymnasts and coaches.
