Emily Whitehead and Breanna Scott left the world stunned as they took to the competition floor at the Paris Olympics 2024!
In the early hours of the morning on Monday 29/7, Waverley Gymnastics’ own Emily Whitehead and Breanna Scott took to the competition floor at the Paris Olympic Games alongside the rest of Team Australia during the subdivision 5 qualifications.
Whitehead kicked off the competition for the Australian team with an impressive 12.733 on Floor, setting a positive tone for the remainder of the competition.
On Vault, Whitehead impressed with a 13.600 and Scott, making her Olympic debut, put up an amazing 13.300. Both scores helped bring the overall team total to 78.632 after the first two rotations.
With the final two apparatus, Whitehead provided a 12.333 on Bars with Scott also excelling with a score of 13.700 on Beam, placing her in 12th place overall and just out of a position in the Beam Final by 0.1.
Overall, Whitehead and Scott had an incredible competition in Bercy Arena and helped Team Australia to an 10th place finish overall with a score of 158.964.
This competition saw Scott make her Olympic debut and Whitehead become a dual Olympian.
