2022 Senior Victorian Championship Results

The first Senior Victorian Championships in over three years took place at Geelong Arena over the weekend , with Waverley well-represented by outstanding performances across divisions.

NOTE: The full results for Level 8 will be released shortly on the Gymnastics Victoria website.

Level 9 gymnast Zhimei Ross was crowned State Vault Champion.

In the Level 10 division, Hannano Sakamoto was crowned State Bars Champion and finished 2nd on Vault, and 3rd on Beam to place 2nd All-Around. Jessica Eland was crowned State Floor Champion and finished 3rd on Bars, to place 3rd All-Around. Madeleine Fenton finished 2nd on Beam and 3rd on Vault.

Haylee Whitehead finished 2nd on Bars and 3rd on Floor in the Future International division. Chloe Kousis finished 2nd on Beam and 3rd on Bars.

Miella Brown was crowned the Junior All-Around, Vault and Bars State Champion, and also finished 2nd on Floor and 3rd on Beam. Charlotte Shin finished 2nd on Bars and Beam, and 3rd on Floor to place 2nd All-Around. Michaela Rodrigues finished 3rd on Bars.

Senior International Emily Whitehead was crowned Vault and Floor State Champion, and finished 2nd on Bars and Beam to place 2nd All-Around. Chloe Saliaris finished 2nd on Floor.

Level 8, Level 10, Future International, Junior International teams we're also crowned State Champion Teams.

Waverley also took out the National Levels Spectacular, a US College style event with cheering, chants, team names and colours.  We thank our athletes, coaches and families for their efforts with costumes, chants, and overall support throughout the weekend.
