Women in Sport Breakfast

On Thursday 11th October three of Waverley's up and coming Future International gymnasts - Miella Brown, Sumer Daly and Zoe Nitsiopoulos- had the exciting opportunity to be involved in a ‘Future Star Q&A’ at the annual Women In Sport Breakfast held at the RACV Club in the city.

The Waverley girls blew away the crowd of 400 - which included Gymnastics Australia CEO, Kitty Chiller, and a number of Olympians from a variety of sports - talking about their experiences, the importance of the positive relationships that they have with their coaches and teammates, and how much that motivates them to be their best.

Kate Palmer, CEO of Sport Australia, also spoke passionately about empowering women and girls in sport, and left everyone in the room inspired to re-double their efforts to ensure that young athletes like Miella, Sumer and Zoe have every opportunity to achieve their dreams! How appropriate that today is International Day of the Girl!

Thank you to Gymnastics Victoria for organising a fantastic morning!
