Waverley’s Larrissa Miller 6th on Floor at 2014 World Championships!

Sunday 12th October

Larrissa has finished off her 2014 World Championships campaign in great style, with a beautifully elegant and clean routine in the Women's Floor final tonight! Having qualified through to the final in 8th position, Larrissa improved on her qualifying routine to score 14.233, and finish an incredible 6th in the world!! Congratulations Larrissa on a fantastic World Championships!

Thursday 9th October

Larrissa has had a fantastic first two days of competition at World Championships! On day 1 (qualifications) she scored a sensational 14.166 on Floor, which qualified her through to the apparatus final on 12th October!! She also scored 14.666 on Bars, which at the moment has her as the first reserve for the final that takes place on 11th October.

In the Women's Team Final last night, Larrissa again top-scored for Australia on both her apparatus, scoring 13.300 on Floor, and a massive 14.700 on Bars! The whole team put in a fantastic performance, improving on their qualifying position to finish 7th. Well done Larrissa, Mary-Anne, Georgia-Rose, Kiara, Emma-Jane and Olivia!

Thursday 25th September

Congratulations to Waverley's own Larrissa Miller, who has been selected on to the WAG team to represent Australia at the 2014 World Championships! The full Australian team is: Larrissa Miller (WGC), Georgia-Rose Brown (VWHPC), Lauren Mitchell (WAIS), Mary-Anne Monckton (VWHPC), Kiara Munteanu (VWHPC), Emma Jane Nedov (SGC) and Olivia Vivian (WAIS). Waverley's International Stream Head Coach, John Hart, has also been selected as one of the Australian team coaches - congratulations John!

The Championships will be held in Nanning, China from 3rd - 12th October.
Competition Schedule:

  • 5th & 6th October - Women's Qualifying
  • 8th October - Women's Team Final
  • 10th October - Women's All Around Final
  • 11th October - Women's Vault & Uneven Bars Final
  • 12th October - Women's Beam & Floor Final
