Oceania Championships 2026!

The Oceania Championships marked a significant milestone for our program, with Alice Johnson and Emily Whitehead crowned the Junior and Senior All Around Oceania Champions! To have both titles won by athletes from the same program is a special achievement and a reflection of the incredible work of everyone in the WGC High Performance team!

A huge congratulations also to Audrey Hawkins, who stepped into the Senior team at the last minute following an injury to a teammate. She handled the situation with great maturity, led the team off on bars, and delivered when it mattered most, finishing an impressive 4th All Around in her first international competition as a senior athlete!

The Australian Team also claimed both the Junior and Senior Team titles, rounding out a very successful competition and earning Australia a team spot at the upcoming World Championship later this year.

There were so many standout moments across the competition, but a few highlights that really stood out:

  • Alice Johnson delivering beautiful, composed routines on bars and beam
  • Emily Whitehead producing outstanding performances, particularly on bars and vault
  • Audrey Hawkins with a standout floor routine

Overall, it was a great result for Team Australia, with excellent performances, valuable experience, and a lot to build on moving forward.

Results:

  • Junior Oceania Champion: Alice Johnson
  • Senior Oceania Champion: Emily Whitehead
  • Oceania Team Champions: Australia (both Junior and Senior teams)
