MLC Classic 2025! A Huge Weekend for our level 5, 7 and 9’s!

Waverley Gymnastics Centre had an exciting and successful weekend at MLC, with gymnasts across Levels 5, 7, and 9 showcasing their new skill, determination, and a fantastics tsrat to their competition season!

Our Level 5 athletes kicked off the junior competition season with poise, passion, and plenty of sparkle. Taking to the floor with confidence, these gymnasts demonstrated the hard work they’ve put in over recent months, especially shining with beautiful artistry on beam and floor. From strong vaults to sharp bar routines, every apparatus showed just how far they've come.

Building on this momentum, the Level 7 Division 1 gymnasts hit the floor to perform their optional routines for the very first time! After a shaky start on beam, the team pulled together to deliver strong routines, with floor standing out through its beautiful artistry and shy-high tumbling.

Meanwhile, our Level 9 Division 2 gymnasts stepped up confidently after moving up from Level 8. They began strong on floor and maintained their momentum across all apparatus, showing both fun and focus throughout the day. Their support for one another was clear, culminating in impressive individual results and a first-place team finish.

Finally, wrapping up the weekend, the Level 7 Division 2 girls showcased their hard work and determination from the past few months. Starting on bars with connected routines, they maintained their confidence throughout all apparatuses, finishing strong on vault with power and pop.

Overall, it was a fantastic start to the season for some of our WGC athletes, with strong individual performances, team successes, and plenty of excitement for what’s ahead.
