Breanna Scott Selected for 2025 World Championships Team!
We are thrilled to announce that Breanna Scott, alongside her coach Yusuf Topari, has once again been selected to represent Australia at the 2025 Gymnastics World Championships, which will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia from October 19th - October 25th!
This marks Breanna’s fourth World Championships appearance, adding to an already remarkable international career. She previously competed at Worlds in 2019, 2022, and 2023. Most notably, Breanna also reached the pinnacle of the sport last year as a member of the Australian Olympic Team at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, a dream come true and a proud moment for Waverley Gymnastics Centre and the entire Australian gymnastics community.
Breanna’s performances on the world stage have continued to impress. At the 2023 World Championships, she delivered a standout routine on the balance beam, placing 14th in the qualifying round, just shy of advancing to the final. Following this incredible performance, Breanna delivered another amazing beam routine at the 2024 Paris Olympics, earning 12th place during qualifying.
These results, against a highly competitive international field, confirmed her place among the world’s best beam workers. With her Olympic debut now behind her and more international experience under her belt, Breanna heads into Jakarta with renewed focus and confidence.
Breanna is an amazing role model for young gymnasts within Waverley's community and across Australia, showing what’s possible with passion and perseverance.
Everyone at Waverley Gymnastics Centre is immensely proud of Breanna and all she continues to achieve. We’ll be cheering her on as she takes to the floor once again, this time as a seasoned Olympian and four-time Worlds representative!
Congratulations, Breanna! We’re behind you every step of the way.
