Waverley Gymnasts shine in Stuttgart

Waverley gymnasts Charlotte Shin, Emily Whitehead, Miella Brown and Romi Brown are all heading home with medals hanging around their necks after a successful EnBW DTB Pokal Cup campaign.

Charlotte Shin and Miella Brown competed as members of the junior Australian team that finished second in the team competition, behind first-placed United States and ahead of third-placed Italy.

Emily Whitehead and Romi Brown competed as members of the senior Australian team that finished third in the team competition, behind first-placed United States and second-placed Italy.

All four athletes also earned spots in individual apparatus finals based on their performances in the team competition.

At only her second international competition as a junior competitor, Miella Brown placed first in bars finals.

Romi Brown took home a silver medal in the senior bars finals - placing second.

Returning to international competition for the first time since the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Emily Whitehead placed third in the senior beam final and fourth on floor.

Charlotte Shin competed in the floor finals, finishing sixth in only her second international competition at junior.
